Dillon Gabriel will wear No. 8 when he takes the field in London on Sunday morning against the Minnesota Vikings. But unofficially, he’ll also be wearing No. 41 — as in the 41st starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns since the franchise returned to the NFL in 1999.

Let that sink in: Forty-one quarterbacks in 26 years.

🇬🇧 London Calling, But for What?

Gabriel steps into this firestorm overseas against a tough Vikings defense, carrying not only the hopes of a loyal (and long-suffering) fanbase but also decades of quarterback misery.

Browns fans will hope he’s the outlier. History suggests he won’t be.
