No. 16 Utah Hosts No. 17 Texas Tech in Top-25 Big 12 Matchup of Unbeatens – How to Watch, Betting Odds

The No. 17 Texas Tech Red Raiders head west to take on the No. 16 Utah Utes on Saturday in a Big 12 matchup between two unbeaten top-25 programs.

The game has garnered national attention as FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff will be on hand before the game, broadcasting their national pregame show with Bob Stone, Brady Quinn, Mark Ingram, Urban Meyer, Matt Leinart, Dave Portnoy and Chris Fallica.

The Red Raiders (3-0) have been on a tear this season, both offensively and defensively, outscoring their three opponents, 174-35, with wins over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Kent State and Oregon State. The Utes (3-0) have been nearly as impressive, outscoring their three opponents 137-25 with wins over UCLA, Cal Poly and Wyoming.

The Utes are 15th in the FBS, averaging 517 yards per contest, including 290 yards on the ground. Texas Tech is posting 602.7 total yards per game with 387.7 through the air. Both numbers are 2nd in the FBS. Both teams also perform well on third down, with Utah ranking 2nd with a 71.1 conversion percentage and the Red Raiders 12th, converting 57.9 percent.

Utah is led in passing by Devon Dampier with 628 yards, seven touchdowns with no interceptions, while Behren Morton has totaled 923 yards with 11 TDs and one interception. Dampier also leads his team in rushing with 198 yards on 33 carries with one touchdown, and the Red Raiders are led by Adam Hill with 207 yards on 25 carries. Both teams obviously have powerful passing attacks. Ryan Davis leads the Utes with 171 yards on 19 catches and a touchdown, while Coy Eakin has tallied 229 yards on 11 catches with three touchdowns.

Last time out, the Red Raiders beat Oregon State 45-14 on Saturday. Morton threw for 464 yards while completing 65.7 percent of his passes with four TDs and one pick. Cameron Dickey had 65 rushing yards on 16 carries and on touchdown and one catch for seven yards. Eakin had five catches for 123 yards and a score.

Utah beat Wyoming on Saturday as Dampier threw for 230 yards with a 65.9 completion percentage, two touchdowns and no picks. He also posted 86 yards on 13 carries. Wayshawn Parker had 80 yards rushing on 10 carries with two catches for nine yards.
