The Cleveland Browns have made a move to bolster their depleted offensive line, acquiring veteran offensive tackle Cam Robinson from the Houston Texans, multiple outlets confirmed Monday.
In exchange, the Browns will send a 2027 sixth-round draft pick to Houston and receive the Texans’ 2027 seventh-round pick in return, finalizing a low-cost deal aimed at plugging a critical hole on Cleveland’s offensive front.
The trade comes amid a growing injury crisis on the Browns’ offensive line. Left tackle Dawand Jones was lost for the season in Week 3 due to injury, and right tackle Jack Conklin continues to battle an elbow issue that has limited his availability. The acquisition of Robinson gives Cleveland a seasoned option who can step in at either tackle position if needed.

Robinson, 29, was a second-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft and spent the first seven years of his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, starting 75 games during that span. He was traded to the Minnesota Vikings midway through the 2024 season after the team lost Christian Darrisaw to a season-ending injury.
Robinson signed a one-year contract with the Texans this past offseason and began the 2025 campaign as Houston’s starting left tackle. However, he was replaced by rookie Aireontae Ersery in Week 2 and saw limited action on special teams in subsequent weeks. He was inactive for Houston’s Week 4 win over the Titans, signaling his slide down the depth chart.
Now, with a fresh start in Cleveland, Robinson could find himself back in a starting role as early as Week 5.

Robinson brings 102 career starts to Cleveland’s locker room and is familiar with a variety of offensive schemes. Though not without inconsistencies over his career, his size (6’6″, 320 lbs), athleticism, and experience make him a valuable addition for a team dealing with attrition up front.
Final Trade Terms:
-
Browns receive: OT Cam Robinson, 2027 7th-round pick
-
Texans receive: 2027 6th-round pick
Up Next: Cleveland (1-3) travels to Minnesota to take on the Vikings (2-2) on Sunday.
