Jayden Daniels couldn’t finish Sunday in Dallas. The Commanders quarterback exited with a right hamstring injury in the third quarter of a 44-22 Cowboys win and did not return.
Early indications are that it is not believed to be serious, according to head coach Dan Quinn, but an MRI is scheduled for Monday to confirm the damage and timeline.

Quinn said Daniels “definitely” wanted to go back in. The injury actually happened on the snap before he left, not the fumble play that sent him to the sideline.
Washington turned to Marcus Mariota, and the first drive told the story. Mariota rolled left, threw late back across the field, and DaRon Bland jumped it for a 68-yard pick-6 that broke the game open.
Context matters here. Daniels already missed two games earlier this season with a left knee injury suffered in Week 2 against Green Bay. He was also down his top three receivers in Dallas. Terry McLaurin, Deebo Samuel, and Noah Brown were all inactive, which left Washington thin on explosives and timing.
The loss drops the Commanders to 3-4 with a trip to Kansas City on Monday night.

The Cowboys move to 3-3-1 after a complete team effort that featured Dak Prescott’s three touchdown passes, CeeDee Lamb’s 110 yards in his return, and a defense that feasted when Washington had to chase.
Even if the hamstring checks out clean, Dallas still put plenty of fresh tape on how to squeeze this Washington offense.
