The Bengals’ pass rush took a hit Sunday. Trey Hendrickson was ruled out after aggravating a hip injury against the Jets, exiting late in the first half after limping to the sideline and moving gingerly into the locker room.
Hendrickson entered the day banged up and was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday and missed on Friday. He suited up and logged one tackle before the setback. Cincinnati still took a 24-13 lead into halftime and opened the third quarter by forcing a Jets punt, but losing their top edge threat mid-game is a gut punch for a defense built on heat off the corners.

The Bengals will have to spread snaps across the remaining edge group and lean on interior pressure to close out the afternoon. With Hendrickson sidelined, expect Cincinnati to mix coverages and get the ball out of the Jets’ hands quickly with simulated pressure looks to protect a thinned-out front.
Key details:
- Status: Hendrickson ruled out (hip) after aggravation in-game
- Injury track: Limited Wed/Thu, did not practice Fri
- Production today: 1 tackle before exiting
- Game flow: Bengals up 24–13 at half; defense forced a punt to start Q3
