The RBC Heritage brings a loaded field to Harbour Town, where Scottie Scheffler, Justin Thomas, Cameron Young and Matt Fitzpatrick chase a signature win.

The RBC Heritage 2026 arrives with perfect timing. Rory McIlroy just left Augusta with another green jacket, the golf world is still buzzing, and now the PGA Tour shifts to Harbour Town Golf Links for one of the most stylish, tricky and star-packed stops of the spring.

This week’s RBC Heritage isn’t just another event. It’s a Signature Event, there’s no cut, and the field is loaded with players bringing real heat into Hilton Head.

Start with Scottie Scheffler, who nearly stole the Masters with a wild weekend push before finishing solo second. He already owns a win this season at The American Express, and he knows exactly how to handle Harbour Town after winning here in 2024. If his irons are dialed in again, he’s going to feel inevitable.

Then there’s Justin Thomas, the defending champion, back at the site of his dramatic 2025 playoff win. Thomas needed that title in a big way last year, and while a T41 at the Masters wasn’t exactly electric, Harbour Town has a way of rewarding players who can think their way around a course instead of just overpowering it.

Cameron Young might be the sneakiest headliner of the bunch, except he’s not really sneaky anymore. He’s stacked four straight top-seven finishes, including a win at THE PLAYERS Championship, and he was right in the Masters fight before finishing tied for third. He’s already proven he can contend at Harbour Town, too.

And don’t sleep on Matt Fitzpatrick. The 2023 winner is showing serious form again after a runner-up at THE PLAYERS and a win at the Valspar Championship. On a course that demands precision, patience and guts, Fitzpatrick fits the script.

Add in Jordan Spieth, Collin Morikawa, and Xander Schauffele, and this thing feels loaded from top to bottom. Harbour Town doesn’t care about hype, though. It wants control, creativity and nerve.

That’s what makes this week dangerous. Augusta may have delivered the drama, but Hilton Head could deliver the dogfight.
