Dallas Renegades stayed hot with a win over St. Louis as Austin Reed threw four touchdowns and Tyler Vaughns posted a record 146 receiving yards.

FRISCO – The Dallas Renegades kept their offense rolling in a statement win over the St. Louis Battlehawks, and Tyler Vaughns was at the center of everything. In a big early-season UFL showdown, Vaughns turned in one of the best receiving performances the league has seen, helping power Dallas to another impressive result.

From the opening possession, Austin Reed looked calm, confident and ready to attack. The Renegades quarterback marched Dallas down the field on the game’s first drive and quickly connected with Vaughns for a touchdown. That set the tone for a night in which Reed consistently found his top playmaker and the Battlehawks never really found an answer.

Vaughns finished with 11 catches for 146 yards and three touchdowns, setting a new UFL regular-season single-game record for receptions. Reed backed him up with 240 passing yards and four touchdown passes, continuing his strong start to the season. Greg Ward added Dallas’ other receiving score, while Dae Dae Hunter chipped in a game-changing 50-yard run that helped create another scoring chance.

The Renegades weren’t perfect. Reed threw an interception in the second half, and St. Louis showed some life late behind Brandon Silvers. The Battlehawks quarterback led a scoring drive that ended with a touchdown to Tyler Neville, then followed it with the league’s first successful three-point conversion of the season on a pass to Hakeem Butler.

Still, Dallas stayed in control because its defense delivered in key moments and its offensive line answered a major question from Week 1. After giving up seven sacks in the opener, the Renegades allowed zero sacks against a talented St. Louis front.

That protection gave Reed time, and he made the most of it. Dallas now heads into its next home game against Columbus with momentum, confidence and one of the UFL’s hottest passing combinations.
