The 2026 NFL Scouting Combine is almost here, and two former Clemson standouts are generating serious momentum ahead of draft week in Indianapolis.
Quarterback Cade Klubnik and offensive tackle Blake Miller both cracked CBS Sports analyst Mike Renner’s top-five rankings at their respective positions, signaling that NFL evaluators are still intrigued by the Tigers’ talent despite a rocky 2025 season in Death Valley.

Klubnik checked in as the No. 4 quarterback prospect entering the combine. That placement is notable given how much his draft stock fluctuated after Clemson’s 7-6 finish last fall. Even so, teams remain fascinated by his long-term upside.
Over 49 career games, Klubnik threw for 10,123 yards and 73 touchdowns, finishing third in school history in passing yards and fourth in touchdown passes. He also holds the Clemson record for quarterback appearances. While he’s currently projected as an early-to-mid Day 3 selection, his strong showings during the pre-draft process — including earning East All-Practice Team honors at the East-West Shrine Bowl — have reopened the door for a possible late Day 2 selection.
At 6-2 with solid mobility and arm strength, Klubnik fits the modern NFL quarterback mold. In a thinner 2026 quarterback class, that matters.
Meanwhile, Blake Miller continues to climb draft boards at offensive tackle. The four-year starter logged a program-record 3,778 offensive snaps across 54 games — all starts — and surrendered just eight sacks in his career. A two-time First Team All-ACC selection, Miller has built a reputation for durability and consistency in pass protection.

Initially viewed as a third- or fourth-round pick, Miller is now drawing second-round consideration, with some projections placing him inside the first round.
With the NFL Combine set to begin February 23 at Lucas Oil Stadium, both Tigers have a prime opportunity to solidify — or elevate — their draft status even further.
