The injuries are starting to pile up for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and we’re only at Week 3 of the season.
On Wednesday evening, Fox Sports’ Greg Auman reported that right guard Cody Mauch will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury that will require surgery.
Bucs guard Cody Mauch’s knee injury is significant enough he will require surgery that is expected to end his season. Another major loss for the Bucs, now down three starting OLs in the short term.

Mauch finished the game and played every offensive snap in Monday night’s win at Houston, but played at least some of those plays with the injury.
The 2023 second-round draft pick has never missed a game for Tampa Bay since arriving from the North Dakota State Bison that offseason and had missed only nine snaps in 36 games. Tampa Bay is now down three starters along its offensive line.

Left tackle Tristan Wirfs has not played yet this season after knee surgery late in the offseason, while Luke Goedeke is dealing with a foot injury and played only a few snaps on Monday night before leaving the game for good.
Rick Stround reported on X that the Buccaneers will sign C/G Dan Feeney off the Bills’ practice squad, while Auman also reported that the team will work out former Buc Sua Opeta on Thursday. He was with the Bucs in the offseason and was one of the final cuts in August ahead of the regular season.
