Joe Burrow threw three touchdowns, but a crushing late fumble ended Cincinnati’s comeback bid in a 30-27 AFC North loss to Pittsburgh.
The Cincinnati Bengals had a chance to steal an AFC North road win Sunday.
Instead, one final mistake sent them home with their first loss of the season.
Pittsburgh beat Cincinnati 30-27 at Acrisure Stadium, dropping the Bengals to 2-1 despite another productive afternoon from Joe Burrow and his star-studded passing attack.

Burrow completed 28 of 37 passes for 281 yards and three touchdowns without an interception, finding Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Mike Gesicki for scores.
But Cincinnati’s final offensive snap mattered more than all of them.
Trailing 30-27 with less than a minute remaining, Burrow had moved the Bengals across midfield and appeared to be putting Evan McPherson within range of a potential tying field goal.
Then Pittsburgh defensive lineman Derrick Harmon broke through.
Harmon sacked Burrow for a 13-yard loss and forced a fumble that Sebastian Joseph-Day recovered with 53 seconds remaining, allowing Pittsburgh to run out the clock.
It was a brutal ending after Cincinnati had fought back repeatedly.
The Steelers grabbed an early 14-7 advantage, but Burrow connected with Higgins for a 28-yard touchdown just before halftime to tie the game at 17.
Cincinnati briefly grabbed a 20-17 lead on McPherson’s 38-yard field goal before Aaron Rodgers answered with a touchdown pass to DK Metcalf.
Burrow responded again.
His 25-yard touchdown strike to Gesicki early in the fourth quarter put Cincinnati ahead 27-24 and appeared to give the Bengals control.
It didn’t last.
Chris Boswell tied the game with a 36-yard field goal and later drilled the go-ahead 33-yarder with 2:18 remaining.
Cincinnati’s biggest weapons still produced. Chase caught nine passes for 98 yards and a touchdown, while Higgins finished with six receptions for 90 yards and a score.
The Bengals also got 61 rushing yards from Chase Brown.
But Pittsburgh generated 411 total yards, Rodgers threw for 292 yards and three touchdowns, and Jaylen Warren punished Cincinnati for 127 rushing yards on 17 carries.

For Cincinnati, this one will sting.
The Bengals erased deficits, took a fourth-quarter lead and had possession with an opportunity to answer Pittsburgh one final time.
They simply couldn’t finish.
