Cowboys List Pickens And Clark Questionable As Injury Decisions Loom

George Pickens and Kenny Clark are questionable against Arizona, while the Dallas Cowboys must weigh roster moves and prepare without Turpin and Winters Sunday.

The Dallas Cowboys head into the weekend with George Pickens and Kenny Clark carrying questionable designations for Sunday’s home game against the Arizona Cardinals. Friday’s injury report also confirmed that KaVontae Turpin and Dee Winters won’t play.

Pickens is dealing with shoulder and hamstring injuries. Coach Brian Schottenheimer said Friday he expects the receiver to play, but that optimism doesn’t erase the official designation. Dallas still has to account for both possibilities as it finishes its preparations.

Clark’s situation adds a newer complication. The defensive tackle appeared on Friday’s report with a back injury and was limited in practice. His availability now joins the decisions Dallas must settle before kickoff.

Offensive Options Could Shift

Tight end Luke Schoonmaker is questionable with a groin injury after missing Thursday and Friday practices. If he can’t go, the Cowboys could consider practice-squad tight ends Michael Trigg or James Mitchell.

Schottenheimer also identified fullback Hunter Luepke as someone who could take on more offensive work if Dallas needs help covering that absence.

Schottenheimer said Luepke “does just everything good.”

That versatility gives the coaching staff another option, though it doesn’t establish a specific role or snap count. With Turpin already ruled out because of his ribs, the Cowboys have several moving pieces to consider when setting their offensive and special-teams personnel.

Practice Doesn’t Complete A Return

Jonathan Bullard, Marist Liufau and P.J. Locke are also questionable. All three practiced fully Friday, but they remain on injured reserve within their 21-day return windows.

Dallas must activate a player before he can play. The Cowboys have one available spot on the 53-man roster; bringing back all three would require two additional moves. A full practice is encouraging, but it isn’t the same as a completed roster transaction.

Liufau and Locke were also awaiting activation when Dallas cleared Overshown and Durant before the Eagles game. This weekend brings another decision point.

Winters’ calf injury keeps him out, leaving Dallas to prepare around another confirmed absence at linebacker. For now, the clearest distinction is between players already ruled out and those still under consideration. Saturday’s roster decisions and Sunday’s inactive list will determine which remaining options become available.
