A proposal is floating around for college football programs to lean toward emulating the NFL’s official team activities format. That means more schools are eliminating spring games and scattering workouts over six months. The SEC Network’s Chris Doering joins the show to discuss the pros and cons of the concept, as well as the NCAA’s suggestion that the regular season move up a week starting in 2027.
Also, Scott breaks down the plan served up by Georgia’s athletic director for teams 5-8 in the SEC to play an extra game on championship weekend to pad their resumes if the CFP expands to 16. A hint: it won’t work.
All that and more on this episode of the Scott Hamilton Show.
