It’s Sunday of a PGA Tour event, which can mean one thing and one thing only … Scottie Scheffler is making a move.
We’ve been waiting for members of the U.S. Ryder Cup team to show up near the top of the leaderboard all week in their tune-up event, but after three rounds, just four of the 12 sit inside the top 10 of the leaderboard.
Ben Griffin maintains his top spot at 16-under going into the final round after a 70 on Saturday. That has allowed some of the pack to narrow the margin with the leader, including Scheffler, who fired off a 64 on Saturday to climb 11 spots on the leaderboard and find himself just two shots behind Griffin. That list also includes Jackson Koivun, who is just one back at 15-under.
J.J. Spaun and Russell Henley began Saturday’s round inside the top 5 but both fell back to T9 at 9-under after rounds of 72 and 74, respectively.
It’ll be another exciting finish on the final day of golf before the Ryder Cup comes our way. Let’s take a look at PGA of America member John Gerber’s (@jgerberpgapro) Sunday matchup after a 1-0 Saturday with Matt McCarty over Rico Hoey, pushing his 2025 matchups record to 53-12-5.
