The PGA Tour wraps up its fall schedule this week with the RSM Classic at Sea Island Golf Club, an event known for calm coastal views, low scoring, and a leaderboard that almost always features a surprise contender. As players look to lock in FedEx Cup positioning before the holiday break, the stakes are higher than ever on the Seaside and Plantation courses.
Michael Thorbjornsen arrives as one of the most intriguing names in the field, and according to Johnny’s Winning Picks, he’s the top target at 24-1.
The talented young star continues to trend upward thanks to his elite ball-striking and poise well beyond his years. Alex Smalley at 30-1 represents another strong value—his iron play has been sharp this fall, and Sea Island historically rewards precise approach games.
Mackenzie Hughes rounds out Johnny’s trio of outright winners at 45-1, a smart play considering his past success in coastal conditions and history of putting well on grainy Bermuda greens.

As always, Johnny’s picks include a “Ham Sandwich” long shot, and this week Bud Cauley fills that role at 55-1. Cauley has quietly pieced together solid performances since returning from injury, and his accuracy off the tee could keep him in the mix deeper into the weekend.
For placement bets, JT Poston offers appealing top-10 value at +330. A Sea Island resident with deep familiarity on both tournament courses, Poston’s comfort level gives him a legitimate edge. Eric Cole at +600 is another strong top-10 option thanks to his consistent scoring ability in birdie-friendly setups.
Rounding out the card, Johnny targets two top-20 selections: Chris Kirk at +175 and Tom Hoge at +500. Kirk’s steady ball-striking and history of success at this event make him a logical choice, while Hoge’s elite iron game gives him upside if the putter cooperates.
With a picturesque venue, a tightly bunched field, and plenty of betting value on the board, the RSM Classic promises one final dose of drama before the Tour resets for 2026. Johnny’s slate reflects a strong mix of favorites, value plays, and deep cuts—exactly the formula needed to close out the fall swing with a win.
