Joe Burrow threw three interceptions Sunday afternoon, but when the Cincinnati Bengals needed their franchise quarterback the most, he delivered another unforgettable performance.

Burrow accounted for six touchdowns, including a nine-yard scoring run in overtime, as the Bengals survived a wild 43-36 victory over the Tennessee Titans at Paycor Stadium.

The victory improved Cincinnati to 5-2 and kept the Bengals firmly in the AFC North championship race.

But this was anything but a comfortable afternoon.

Burrow completed 38 of 48 passes for 462 yards and five touchdowns, overcoming three interceptions to engineer a comeback that required nearly every ounce of Cincinnati’s offensive firepower.

Tennessee stunned the home crowd by jumping ahead 13-0 in the first quarter, capitalizing on Burrow’s early mistakes and a 40-yard touchdown run by Tony Pollard.

The Bengals eventually settled down behind their explosive passing attack.

Ja’Marr Chase hauled in an impressive 30-yard touchdown reception, while Burrow found tight end Jack Endries for a one-yard score just before halftime to give Cincinnati a 14-13 advantage.

The second half became an offensive shootout.

Burrow connected with Tee Higgins for a 17-yard touchdown early in the third quarter, but Tennessee quarterback Cam Ward refused to let the Titans disappear.

Ward completed 26 of 40 passes for a career-high 304 yards and two touchdowns. Pollard added 117 rushing yards and two scores.

Tennessee reclaimed the lead multiple times, including a 36-29 advantage after Ward found Wan’Dale Robinson for a 15-yard touchdown with 3:46 remaining.

That’s when Burrow went back to work.

With Cincinnati facing a seven-point deficit, Burrow orchestrated another scoring drive, finding Higgins for an 18-yard touchdown with 1:17 left in regulation.

The Bengals tied the game at 36 and forced overtime.

Cincinnati won the toss, received the opening possession and needed just five plays to cover 70 yards.

Burrow finished the drive himself, scrambling nine yards into the end zone for the winning touchdown.

The Bengals defense then forced a turnover on downs to preserve the victory.

Higgins finished with 10 receptions for 155 yards and two touchdowns, while Chase added 11 catches for 141 yards and a score.

Tight end Mike Gesicki also contributed a 25-yard touchdown reception, extending his streak to five consecutive games with a scoring catch.

The performance wasn’t flawless. Tennessee safety Amani Hooker intercepted Burrow three times, and the Bengals defense struggled to contain Ward and Pollard.

Still, Cincinnati demonstrated the kind of offensive resilience that can make a difference in a tight playoff race.

The Bengals now turn their attention to an international matchup against the Atlanta Falcons in Madrid, Spain, next Sunday.

If Burrow continues producing touchdowns at this pace, Cincinnati will remain dangerous.

But eliminating turnovers and tightening up defensively will be essential as the schedule becomes more demanding.
