Browns Hit New Low in 31-3 Blowout as Myles Garrett Chases Record While Shedeur Sanders Drowns in Chicago Freeze

Another week, another embarrassment for the Cleveland Browns.

In one of the coldest games ever played at Soldier Field, Cleveland froze on all fronts, getting demolished 31-3 by the Chicago Bears. While Myles Garrett inched closer to NFL history, the rest of the Browns were busy cementing their place among the league’s biggest letdowns.

The loss drops Cleveland to a dismal 3-11, with little more than Garrett’s sack total to celebrate. The four-time All-Pro added 1.5 sacks on Sunday, bringing his season total to 21.5 – just one short of the all-time single-season record shared by Michael Strahan and T.J. Watt.

It’s a remarkable stat, made even more tragic by the utter collapse happening around him.

Shedeur Sanders, fresh off a breakout performance last week, regressed hard, throwing three interceptions and getting sacked five times.

The rookie QB went 18-of-35 for 177 yards in his fourth start, looking overwhelmed from the opening snap. So much for riding high after that 364-yard game against Tennessee. His fourth-quarter pick to Jaylon Johnson in the end zone symbolized just how far Cleveland’s offense has unraveled.

Meanwhile, Caleb Williams found his rhythm again, tossing two touchdown passes while Chicago (10-4) lit up the scoreboard. Williams, despite limping off at halftime, still managed to snap a cold streak of his own by completing 17 of 28 passes for 242 yards. DJ Moore added two scores through the air, and D’Andre Swift gashed the Browns for 98 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Even rookie Luther Burden torched Cleveland, hauling in six catches for 84 yards, including a 40-yard bomb that set up a score.

The Browns defense, aside from Garrett, was once again outmatched, outplayed, and overworked. Cleveland gave up two touchdowns in the first quarter and never looked like a team capable of fighting back.

With six losses in their last seven games, the Browns now limp toward the offseason with zero identity, a collapsing quarterback experiment, and the league’s most wasted elite pass rusher.

Next up? The 7-6 Bills. Good luck.
