The No. 16 Texas A&M Aggies are facing off against No. 8 Notre Dame in South Bend on Saturday night, and a frightening moment unfortunately occurred that is all too familiar in the game of football.
With 58 seconds left in the first half and the Aggies leading 28-24, Irish quarterback CJ Carr completed a pass to the right flat. Anderson attacked the play and hit the receiver at the same time as his teammate Cashius Howell. Anderson fell to the ground, face down, and did not move. Teammates attempted to check on him with no response.

Medical staff arrived quickly and reportedly removed his facemask and then his helmet as he lay still but responsive.
Players from both teams huddled on the field and on the sideline on one knee in prayer during the stoppage in play.
As Anderson was being carted off, he gave the “thumbs up” to the delight of all in attendance. We’ll continue to update Anderson’s condition as more information becomes available.
