To AimPoint or NOT to AimPoint?

Jackson Koivun didn’t just win the 2026 3M Open — the 21-year-old rookie stared down world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and made history.

In only his third professional start, Koivun finished at a tournament-record 25-under par, beat Scheffler by three shots and played the entire weekend without a bogey. Scheffler fired a final-round 63, but even that wasn’t enough to catch golf’s newest star.

Meanwhile, Jenny Shin conquered four brutal days of links golf at Dundonald Links, finishing at 9-under and cruising to the Scottish Open championship. Leona Maguire made an early Sunday charge, but Shin never opened the door.

On this Monday edition of From the Rough, we break down Koivun’s fearless performance, Scheffler’s latest runner-up finish, Shin’s links-golf clinic and what both victories mean moving forward.
