Going into the 2025 Ryder Cup, European captain Luke Donald knew the task would be heavy, but despite an unprecedented Sunday run by the American team, Europe showed the value of teamwork and mental character.
The emotional roller coasters are nothing new to Ryder Cups, but the 2025 event provided more than most.

This year provided many expected and unexpected moments, but none more than off-course antics. Fans are certainly a part of sports, but the New York crowds seem to take it to a new level. When extra precautions must be taken for players and other fans to feel safe, then this turns into more than a sporting event and takes away from the beauty of what we love.
Despite all the extra drama, this year’s Ryder Cup can be described as a contrast in style, mentality and appreciation.
From the leadership and personality of the captains to the preparation and formation of the teams, the American team will continue to look at themselves and wonder what they can change to make themselves a team, not a formation of individuals. The complete domination on Friday and Saturday by the European team in foursomes and four-ball matches, and the comeback from the American team in singles matches, was not a surprise to many and will go down as some of the best golf played in Ryder Cup history.

The real question for the American team or American individuals is what is next?
Is the European team just better, or does it just mean more? Many questions need to be answered as the PGA is looking to find a new Captain and a solution to questions they may never be able to answer.
