A Triple-A Syracuse standout is making his way up to the Mets.
Mason Williams, who is raking for the Syracuse Mets at the moment, is being called up, SNYs Andy Martino confirmed on Sunday.
Williams has been mashing baseballs in his 19 games in Triple-A, slashing .373/.458/.569 with one homer — a grand slam in his last game — seven doubles and eight RBI.
Williams most recently played with the Baltimore Orioles in 2020, owning a .111 average over 10 games.
A fourth-round pick by the Yankees back in 2010, Williams knows New York well, having spent scattered games with the Bronx Bombers. He also played for the Cincinnati Reds in 2018.
