Sep. 18—Five Reading pitchers held Binghamton to one run and Dalton Guthrie and Chris Cornelius provided the offense in a 4-1 victory Friday night in a Double-A Northeast League game at Mirabito Stadium.

Erubiel Armenta picked up the win in his first game with the Fightin Phils, and Brian Marconi pitched the ninth for his 15th save, which tied him for the league lead.

Offensively, Guthrie went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and scored two runs. Cornelius was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Reading (46-65) and the Rumble Ponies (47-58) continue their season-ending series Saturday night at 6:35.
