Jun. 23—KIMBALL — Kimball/White Lake racked up 19 hits in a 20-10 win over Four Corners in a Pony Hills League amateur baseball contest on Tuesday.

KWL’s Zak Wallner went 5 of 5, hit a home run, a double and drove in six runs. Wes Kroupa finished 4 of 4, drove in three runs and stole two bases. Dylanger Pierson had a 3 of 5 performance and knocked in four runs.

Eathen Gaulke started the first four innings and allowed six hits, five runs (two earned) and struck out one batter. Brian Zeman pitched two relief innings and allowed three hits, four runs (one earned) and struck out three batters. Pierson struck out one batter, gave up one run and zero runs in one inning of relief.

Kimball/White Lake (7-1) hosts the Plankinton Gold Sox on Thursday in another Pony Hills League contest. Four Corners (6-3) plays at Chamberlain on Thursday in Pony Hills League action.

Irene 6, Menno 3

IRENE — Irene picked up a three-run South Central League amateur baseball win over Menno on Tuesday.

Irene’s Adam Gale had two hits, while Simon Healy, Marcus VanDriel and Jamison Kleinsasser each had hits. Kleinsasser earned the win.

Menno’s Adam Walter recorded three hits, while Tyler Miller and Scott Sayler had two hits apiece. Trey Bohlmann took the loss.

Irene hosts the Yankton Tappers on Thursday. Menno travels to Crofton on Thursday.
