A tweet featuring new LSU coach Brian Kelly awkwardly dancing next to star quarterback commit Walker Howard while Garth Brooks can be heard belting out his hit song “Callin’ Baton Rouge” has gone viral.

Howard posted the video on Twitter Sunday night, saying, “Got my coach!”

LSU hired Kelly away from Notre Dame after buying out coach Ed Orgeron.

Howard, a product of St. Thomas More High in Lafayette, stands in the 360-degree video, evidently made by LSU recruiting staffers, calmly tossing a football and flashing an LSU hand sign while Kelly dances behind him.

Howard is ranked as the No. 5 quarterback nationally and the No. 2 prospect in Louisiana by 247Sports Composite. His father Jamie Howard is a former LSU quarterback.

Walker Howard made a weekend visit to LSU along with several other Tiger recruits including Acadiana High cornerback Laterrance Welch, a commit, and Lafayette Christian Academy defensive back Jordan Allen.

With starter Max Johnson in the NCAA transfer portal, Howard is a key commit for the Tigers.

Keeping him as part of his first LSU recruiting class, most of which is inherited from Orgeron and recruiting coordinator/cornerbacks coach Corey Raymond, who left LSU for join new Florida coach Billy Napier in Gainesville, is key for Kelly as he transitions from South Bend to Baton Rouge.

Kelly, however, is getting panned on Twitter for his dancing efforts.
