WATCH: Jayson Tatum teams up with Bam Adebayo at pickup game originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

The summer of Jayson Tatum fraternizing with other NBA stars has already begun.

The Boston Celtics forward, who will play for Team USA at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics this summer, joined Miami Heat big man Bam Adebayo and NBA veteran Michael Beasley at a pickup game over the weekend.

Here’s footage of Tatum doing his thing and getting a couple nice assists from Adebayo:

According to Taylor Sports Group, which hosted the session, Heat star Victor Oladipo also made an appearance.

Tatum and Adebayo were in the same 2017 NBA Draft class (Tatum went third overall; Adebayo went 14th) and have known each other since high school, so it’s good to see them getting in work together.

In case Celtics fans are wondering, Adebayo recently signed a five-year contract extension with Miami through 2026, so these two won’t be NBA teammates anytime soon unless a blockbuster trade goes down.

Adebayo also is playing for Team USA this summer, though, so Tatum will get to spend some quality time with the talented big man while also rubbing shoulders with childhood friend Bradley Beal and Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard, whose name has come up in C’s trade rumors.

The Americans will begin their tune-up for Tokyo this Saturday with an exhibition game against Nigeria in Las Vegas.
