WATCH: B’s fans go crazy before puck drop as Garden capacity increases originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

The energy before Game 1 of the second-round Stanley Cup Playoff series between the Bruins and Islanders in Boston was phenomenal.

It was a special moment for TD Garden, which saw its capacity increased to a near-100 percent level as Massachusetts lifted its COVID-19 restrictions Saturday.

The noise levels were incredible, and one of the best examples of that intensity came as the Bruins took the ice prior to puck drop.

Saturday’s series opener is the first Bruins home game with a near-full crowd since a March 7, 2020 regular season game between the B’s and Tampa Bay Lightning.
