As we prepare for the 2021 season we want to take a look back at some of the things from the 2020 season and what we can learn from them for the Cleveland Browns. In particular, we are going to focus on Baker Mayfield with these video reviews.

As is the reality of the NFL in our day and age, the quarterback makes the offense successful or not. Mayfield is no different for the Browns and his 2020 season was one to get excited about with very few flaws and most of them coming early in the season as he adjusted to Kevin Stefanski’s offense.

Mayfield’s second touchdown pass of the season
Mayfield’s third touchdown pass of the season

Today, unfortunately, we take a look at Mayfield’s first interception. As noted, Mayfield struggled more at the start of the season and really grew as the season progressed. His first interception came in Week 1 on the team’s first possession.

An example of Mayfield trying to force things, an interesting defensive scheme from the Baltimore and really good individual plays by Calais Campbell and Marlon Humphrey.

In 2020, Mayfield’s 3 to 1 touchdown to interception ratio means we have more positives to look at than negatives but we still need to see areas he can improve from last year.
