USA TODAY recently dropped their definitive list of the greatest 75 players in NBA history and Michigan State basketball was represented by one of the all-time great Spartans in a prominent position. Earvin ‘Magic’ Johnson was named the No. 4 best player in NBA history by the USA TODAY panelists.

This seems like an absolute no brainer of a ranking for Magic and it’s nice to see someone get it right. After the obvious top-3 (you’ll have to subscribe to see how they were ordered) of Lebron James, Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic is the obvious next player in line, with Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain coming right after.
