Paige Bueckers has completed a historic sweep after being named the first freshman to win the Wooden Award — with the win, she has won every National Player of the Year award that she was eligible to win.
Bueckers already became the first freshman to win the USBWA’s Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, the Naismith Trophy and the AP National Player of the Year prior to winning the Wooden Award.
She averaged 20.0 points and 5.9 assists per game while hitting 52.8 percent of her shots from the field and 45.9 percent of her three-pointers.
Bueckers was named an AP First-Team All American and the Big East Tournament Most Outstanding Player, leading UConn to its 13th-straight Final Four appearance. She also added the Nancy Lieberman Award to her resume as the nations best point guard.
