Two children who were injured in a knife attack in Southport on Monday have left hospital, a trust has said.
In a statement on its website, Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust said it was “delighted” two of the children involved in the “awful incident” had been discharged.
The hospital said the other five children in its care, including one recently transferred from Aintree University Hospital, were in a stable condition.
Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and nine-year-old Alice Dasilva Aguiar died after the knife attack at the Taylor Swift-themed event in the town.
A 17-year-old boy from Banks, Lancashire has appeared in court charged with murdering the three girls and 10 counts of attempted murder.
The statement from the the trust added: “We continue to treat five children involved in the devastating incident in Southport on Monday, including one recently transferred to us from Aintree University Hospital.
“All the children in our care are currently in a stable condition.
“Our heartfelt sympathies remain with all those affected by Monday’s incident.”
