Wisconsin dropped their season opener to Penn State in grueling fashion as the Nittany Lions came up with two clutch defensive stops to seal a 16-10 win.
The Badgers lost their first season opener since 2015, and their first at Camp Randall since 1995. Graham Mertz and the Wisconsin offense struggled mightily in the red zone, coming up empty on two first half trips and late in the fourth quarter.
