Triller’s Triad Combat series returns to Texas for its second event.

Triad Combat 2 will take place in Houston on Feb. 26 at the Toyota Center featuring fights and a rock concert. The first event took place on Nov. 27, 2021, in Arlington, Texas, and featured a main event fight between Frank Mir and Kubrat Pulev, along with performances by Metallica.

The musical act for this event is yet to be announced, however, Triller has booked five fights under the Triad Combat ruleset.

Quinton Jackson and Shannon Briggs will once again serve as coaches for the teams of MMA fighters and boxers, while Nick Cannon will also return as host of the evening’s festivities.

Check out the officially announced bouts below.

Former UFC heavyweight champ [autotag]Junior dos Santos[/autotag] will try his hand at Triad Combat for the first time in the final bout of this event. Dos Santos has not competed since December 2020, but has stayed busy in other ventures such as competing in professional wrestling matches with AEW.

[autotag]Kubrat Pulev[/autotag] returns to Triad Combat for his second-straight main event slot, on the heels of recording a standing TKO finish of former UFC heavyweight champ Frank Mir in November. With a record of 28-2 with 14 knockouts as a professional boxer, Pulev packs a lot of power in his punches.

While [autotag]Vitor Belfort[/autotag]’s best days as an MMA fighter may be behind him, the former UFC champion has transitioned to different combat disciplines. In September, Belfort defeated the legendary Evander Holyfield in the first round, after his original opponent, Oscar De la Hoya, had to withdraw after testing positive for COVID-19. He will now compete under a different ruleset in Triad Combat for the first time.

Chad Dawson holds a professional boxing record of 36-5 with 19 knockout wins. The former boxing champion holds wins over Bernard Hopkins, Antonio Tarver, Andre Ward, and other notable pugilists.

Undercard bout: Joe Schilling vs. Armin Mrkanovic – light heavyweight

[autotag]Joe Schilling[/autotag] (4-6 MMA) is no stranger to mixing up fighting disciplines. The Bellator MMA veteran also competed on the promotion’s kickboxing cards. Perhaps his first major kickboxing achievement was winning a four-man tournament under Glory in 2013.

Armin Mrkanovic is a 10-3 professional boxer with five knockouts to his credit. He makes his return to action after last competing in 2019 against Wilmer Mejia.

Undercard bout: Jimmie Rivera vs. Samuel Teah – featherweight

Jimmie Rivera

[autotag]Jimmie Rivera[/autotag] (23-5) was a top-ranked bantamweight contender during his 11-fight UFC run with a number of main card appearances and one main event bout against Marlon Moraes in 2018. His debut in Triad Combat will be his first bout since a tough unanimous decision loss to Pedro Munhoz at UFC Fight Night 186.

USBA junior welterweight champion [autotag]Samuel Teah[/autotag] holds a boxing record of 18-4-1, which includes eight knockouts.

Undercard bout: Sam Sicilia vs. Dakota Linger

[autotag]Sam Sicilia[/autotag] (17-11 MMA) is a UFC and Bellator veteran who will step into the triangle-shaped ring for the first time after picking up a third round TKO win over Talon Hoffman at Conquest of the Cage in August.

[autotag]Dakota Linger[/autotag] owns a professional boxing record of 12-5-3, and will be facing Sicilia after a draw against Mathew Gonzalez in October.
