May 31—Tennessee junior receiver Kenney Solomon, who played in all 10 games last season, has entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to 247Sports.com.

The 6-foot, 185-pounder from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, primarily played on special teams and was a defensive back until switching to receiver during the open date between losses to Alabama and Arkansas. Solomon made a special teams tackle against Georgia and had a 1-yard carry on a reverse at Vanderbilt.

Solomon arrived at Tennessee in 2019 as a walk-on but earned a scholarship that November. He appeared in 11 of 13 games as a freshman, with his most memorable play an interception in the end zone during the fourth quarter of a 45-0 win over the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
