Dubs to sit Steph, other stars vs. Pelicans amid four-game skid originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea
As the Warriors look to snap a four-game losing skid Friday, they’ll be without four of their starters.
Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins will all be on the bench while Golden State takes on the New Orleans Pelicans at Smoothie King Center.
Per the Warriors’ injury report, Curry is resting with right elbow soreness and Wiggins is sitting out with soreness in his left foot. Green (back) and Thompson (Achilles) will rest as they continue to manage their previous injuries.
After a slow start to the season, Thompson played well in Thursday’s 130-129 loss to the Orlando Magic with 27 points on 10-of-24 shooting with seven triples.
But dating back to last season, the 32-year-old has yet to play in the second game of a back-to-back since returning from two devastating lower leg injuries in January.
Both Donte DiVincenzo (hamstring) and Andre Iguodala (hip, management) remain out for Friday’s contest while starting center Kevon Looney will play in his 10th straight game.
