The first day of OTAs is in the books for the Pittsburgh Steelers and today is a new day.

According to Brooke Pryor of ESPN, 75 percent of players were in attendance. Who wasn’t? Reporters are not allowed to say specifically, but they can post photos from the workout/practice.

Pryor posted a photo of the wide receivers group, and one glance tells you some big three were absent: JuJu Smith-Schuster, Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool. James Washington and Ray-Ray McCloud were also not there.

OTAs are totally voluntary. I would think, though, that showing up is a sign of solidarity, loyalty; working together with teammates you haven’t seen since January.

Training camp is where really counts, though. And you can bet Smith-Schuster and company will be there.
