Premier basketball equipment brand Spalding and Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard are teaming up to launch a new line of performance basketballs.
In 1937, Spalding debuted the first “Last Bilt” stitchless, laceless, and perfectly balanced basketball. Shortly after, the ball was given the moniker Top-Flite 100 and became the first ball in what is now the Spalding TF collection.
In 1992, Spalding proved their relevancy once again when the brand unveiled the first-ever basketball manufactured from composite leather material, the TF-1000. Since its development, the Spalding TF line has set the pace in basketball innovation, from ball construction to quality materials.
The Spalding TF line today is ideal for both indoor and outdoor use and comes in both composite leather and genuine leather textile.
“Since my childhood in Oakland, Spalding TF basketballs have played a significant role in my basketball journey,” Lillard said in a statement. “From the moment you pick up a Spalding TF ball, you can tell it’s just built different – from the grip to the quality of the material. I’m excited to continue to work with Spalding to create the best basketballs in the world.”
The core TF line of basketballs range in price from $25 to $150 and can be purchased at spalding.com. We linked a few bestsellers below.
