Khaleke Hudson snags incredible one-handed INT during OTAs originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

The Washington Football Team held another voluntary OTA practice session on Tuesday, but the energy from the club was in midseason form after second-year linebacker Khaleke Hudson made an incredible play during the session.

During the practice — which was closed to the media — Hudson dropped back in coverage and then hauled in an incredible, one-handed interception while simultaneously turning his body in mid-air.

Take a look:

If you turn the volume up, you can hear several of Hudson’s teammates yelling “Yeah Leke! Yeah Leke!” They were amped up.

Since the practice was closed off and the video cut out the beginning of the play, it’s unclear which of Washington’s four quarterbacks threw the pass. Regardless, Hudson made a great play on the ball, one that was thrown slightly behind the intended target.

In his first year with Washington, Hudson appeared in all 16 games, starting two. He finished his rookie season with 14 tackles (two for loss), primarily making an impact on special teams.

What Hudson’s role is for next season remains unclear, but he’ll have to beat out 2021 first-rounder Jamin Davis and veterans Cole Holcomb and Jon Bostic for significant playing time in defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio’s defense.
