A lot is on the line for the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. The winner will punch their ticket to Super Bowl 56.

The Rams (12-5) will host the 49ers (10-7) in the NFC championship game at SoFi Stadium, marking the first time a conference championship will be held in the same stadium as the Super Bowl.

The division rivals “know each other so well,” 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said, and San Francisco has had the Rams number.

The 49ers enter the NFC title matchup on a six-game winning streak against the Rams. In fact, the 49ers have not lost to the Rams since the 2019 season, including two regular-season wins over Los Angeles this season.

Is the third time a charm for the Rams?

Both teams are coming off close wins in the divisional round. The 49ers beat the Green Bay Packers, 13-10, following Robbie Gould‘s 45-yard game-winning field goal. The Rams beat the reigning champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 30-27, on a 30-yard game-winning field goal from Matt Gay.
