Here’s the cornerback trade we’ve been waiting for. The New Orleans Saints acquired Houston Texans cornerback Bradley Roby, a projected starter who is suspended for the first game of the 2021 season as part of a six-game sidelining handed out last year.

Roby, 29, is in the second year of a three-year, $31.5 million contract. His salary cap hit should clock in around $9.1 million this year. He’s started 49 of the 99 games he’s appeared in in the NFL, with six playoff games (and a Super Bowl victory with the Denver Broncos) to his credit. And he’s of course a former Ohio State Buckeye.

Trade compensation was not immediately reported, so keep an eye out. This is a developing story and more details should become available soon.
