Jun. 13—The Rochester Royals are on a winning streak.
The Royals scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to rally past the Stewartville-Racine Sharks 6-5 on Saturday in amateur baseball at Mayo Field. The Royals trailed 5-4 going into the eighth innning.
Tate Meiners hit a homer and a triple while scoring two runs and driving in a pair for the Royals and Sam Warren hit a solo homer for the second straight game.
Will Weick went 3-for-4 with a double for the Royals.
Luca Cardenas pitched two innings of scoreless relief for the win while Alex Holets pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.
Trenton Dahnert went 4-for-5 with three doubles and two runs scored for the Sharks while Henry Gathje hit a homer and a double, scored two runs and had two RBIs.
The Royals (6-6) will play the Rochester Roadrunners at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hudson Field.
