Jun. 19—MANKATO — Rochester United FC gave up single goals in the first and second halves and lost 2-0 on Wednesday to Mankato United in Women’s Premier Soccer League action.

Mankato got on the board early in the first half and Rochester United never could tally itself.

It dropped it to 1 win, 3 ties and 1 loss.

“We dominated a lot of the game but were not clinical enough,” Rochester United coach Charlie Foster said. “But we only have ourselves to blame for that.”

Foster is expecting his team to respond the right way.

“Sometimes you put in the work but don’t get the result you want,” he said. “But this is not the time to quit. It is a learning experience and it is time to double down now.”

Rochester United plays at Fire SC on Wednesday.
