The Baltimore Ravens have had injuries decimate their team for the entirety of the 2021 season at multiple positions. Even before the year began, the injury bug hit the organization hard as they lost many key players during training camp and the preseason.

Baltimore saw more of their contributors go down with injuries in Week 14, including star quarterback Lamar Jackson. On Monday during his press conference with the media, head coach John Harbaugh gave updates on some of the players who are dealing with various ailments.

Right off of the bat, Harbaugh was asked about his star quarterback, and luckily there was a bit of good news.

“Yes, Lamar [Jackson] has an ankle sprain. It’s not a high-ankle sprain, which is good news. We’ll just have to see what it is from there, how he feels this week going forward and what it looks like.”

Ricard didn’t play in Week 14 against the Browns, but when Harbaugh was asked about the fullback he said that the team got good news.

“That makes it challenging. When a player like that comes up and he just can’t go … He just didn’t feel like he could go [with] the way it felt [with] his knee, but it’s not a serious thing. We got the MRI. We got good news on it this morning, so we’ll see how it progresses during the week, and [we’re] kind of expecting to have him next week. We’ll see how it goes.”

Watkins left the Ravens’ Week 14 loss to Cleveland quietly and never returned to action. Many didn’t know the reason why, but Harbaugh provided some clarity on the situation with the wide receiver.

“Sammy’s [Watkins] knee was bothering him, and he just didn’t feel like he could go on it during the game. So, again, we’ll see how that feels this week, how it looks today and tomorrow and how he’s practicing.”

Boyle has been inactive for the last two weeks as he continues to test out his knee after suffering a gruesome injury during the 2020 season. Harbaugh talked about where Boyle is in his recovery.

“…I just think it’s part of the rehab thing. I think you probably don’t recover quite as quickly, maybe. Hopefully he’s getting better every week with that. But I’m real hopeful for him this week. I’ve got my fingers crossed and think there’s a good chance.”

Campbell left Week 14 very early after suffering an injury, and Harbaugh provided an update on the veteran, labeling the ailment as a soft tissue injury.

“…Calais [Campbell] has a soft tissue injury. It happened in the game. So, you know how those go. We’ll see how that looks this week. We just have to go day by day on that and see where he’s at. A lot of that has to do with how he feels today and tomorrow.
