The Rangers announced on Sunday that they have trimmed their training camp roster by 13 players, leaving them with 47 players still in camp.
Alex Whelan, Michael O’Leary, Jake Elmer, Patrick Khodorenko, James Sanchez, Zach Berzolla, Hunter Skinner, and Zach Giuttari have all been assigned to Training Camp with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL
Jayden Grubbe, Ryder Korczak, Evan Vierling, Dylan Garand, and Talyn Boyko have been assigned to their respective junior teams.
The Rangers will begin playing exhibition games on Sunday against the Islanders, and will play five more exhibitions before the regular season begins on Wednesday, Oct. 13 against the Washington Capitals on the road at 7:00 p.m.
