With all levels of pro baseball in the United States still shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic, former big-leaguers who are playing in Korea, such as Tampa’s Preston Tucker, are getting more attention.
ESPN has increased the level of visibility by showing Korea Baseball Organization games just about every day.
All of which caught the eye of NBC’s Saturday Night Live crew, and led to Tucker — a Plant High product and former Florida Gator as well — making it onto Saturday’s episode of the weekly now-home-produced comedy show. Tucker was mentioned during Michael Che’s bit in Weekend Update (about 20 seconds in), which poked a little fun at pronunciations for player names
