May 29—MOUND — The Litchfield boys tennis team saw its season end Friday in the Section 6A team final.
The Dragons lost 6-1 to top-seeded Mound-Westonka.
Litchfield’s lone victory came at No. 1 doubles. The Dragons’ Tyson Michels and Braden Olson beat Alex Brown and Harry Moen 6-2, 6-2.
All of the rest of the matches were contested, though Mound-Westonka came out on top.
The White Hawks advance to the state Class A team tournament June 8-11 at St. Cloud Tech High School.

Section 3A individuals
Yellow Medicine East’s Ean Clarke and the Dawson-Boyd/Lac qui Parle Valley doubles teams of Tyer Buer and Wylie Wieber have advanced to Tuesday’s Section 3A semifinals after getting through two rounds at Redwood Falls.
Clarke beat teammate Tyler Syring in the second round to advance.
Buer and Wieber opened with a victory over Redwood Valley’s Lauren Goodthunder and Cole Johnson before beating Worthington’s Levi Kuhl and Dave Sternke to advance.
Redwood Valley is the host school. The top two singles players and top two doubles teams advance to the state Class A individual tournament June 10-11 at St. Cloud Tech High School.
