After dropping a red-hot 52 point effort against the Chicago Bulls in 2018 while wearing a headband due to a cut on his head, the legend of “Headband Klay Thompson” has continued to grow.

While he’s working on his rehab from a torn ACL and torn Achilles injuries that’s kept him out for two consecutive seasons; the headband has been a steady part of Thompson’s wardrobe.

Thompson has been showing off his Jackie Moon-inspired persona at workouts during the offseason. The five-time NBA All-Star broke out the headband again at a recent training session at Golden State’s practice facility in San Francisco.

In a recent injury update, the Warriors said Thompson is making “good progress” with his summer rehab. Before he makes his long-awaited return to Chase Center, the 31-year-old is expected to participate in controlled drills during Golden State’s training camp.

The Warriors are slated to open the 2021 edition of training camp on Sep. 28 in San Francisco.
