Jul. 15—OLYMPIA — The Oly Town Artesians are set to host a women’s and men’s doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Black Hills High School.

The Artesian women will kick off against Washington Premier at 3:30 p.m. in their final home game of the season. Then, the Artesian men host Yakima United at 6:30 p.m. in their final Evergreen Premier League (EPLWA) regular season game with first place and a home game in the EPLWA playoffs on the line.

The games are on Youth Soccer Day and kids wearing their club uniforms will be admitted to the game for free. There will be prizes and drawings during the game and kids can walk the teams out during introductions before each game. Zephyr Lemonade will be on hand selling lemonade, fry bread, hot dogs and more.

Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for kids, seniors and military, and free for kids in their club soccer uniforms.

After Saturday, the Artesian women continue their inaugural season with a rematch against Washington Premier. The two teams faced each other on June 12 and played to a 1-1 draw with Centralia College standout Haylee Ward scoring the lone goal for Oly Town.

The Artesians are 2-0-1 playing their abbreviated independent schedule this season and West Virginia alum Kailey Utley leads the team with four goals over three games.

Meanwhile, the Artesian men are 2-2-1 in the EPLWA’s South Division and are tied with Tacoma Narrows and their next opponent, Yakima United, with seven points. They currently sit in third place due to tiebreakers and need to win to host a playoff game in the first round of the playoffs.

Evergreen State’s Max Hauser leads Oly Town with two goals, and Olympia High School product Sawyer Price has made every league start in goal, posting a 1.80 goals against average this season.
