Jul. 12—WILLMAR — The Bismarck Larks needed six pitchers to do it. But you can’t argue with the results.

Bismarck pitching tossed a one-hitter to beat the Willmar Stingers 4-0 Sunday before 945 fans at Bill Taunton Stadium.

Ryan Carmack, who threw the third, fourth and fifth innings, got the pitching win to improve to 2-4. He also allowed the only hit. The Stingers’ Daniel Walsh singled.

The victory enabled the Larks to sweep the weekend doubleheader at Willmar.

Cole Roberts and Cal James each had two hits for Bismarck (3-3 second half, 21-20 overall).

Willmar (2-4 second half, 18-24 overall) heads for Wisconsin to play two games at the Eau Claire Express (4-2 second half, 16-22 overall). Both games start at 6:35 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Carson Park.

Willmar then returns home at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday to play the La Crosse Loggers at Bill Taunton Stadium.
