Auburn may be losing their best position coach.
Defensive line coach Nick Eason is expected to be hired by the Clemson Tigers per reports from Matt Zenitz.
Eason spent one year on Auburn staff and was Bryan Harsin’s first defensive line coach during his Auburn tenure.
Using his experience from a decade in the NFL, he helped develop Colby Wooden and T.D. Moultry into much better defensive linemen and helped Derick Hall take another step forward as a pass rusher.
Per reports, Harsin and defensive coordinator Derek Mason will work to hire a replacement. The defensive line may be the deepest position on Auburn’s roster so it should be an attractive job for the right candidate.
