With a 3-1 lead and the series back in Phoenix, the Suns were in the driver’s seat to win the West in Game 5. But Paul George and the Clippers had other ideas.
George poured in 41 points along with 13 rebounds, six assists and three steals to lead the Clippers to an impressive 116-102 victory. Now the series is in Los Angeles for Game 6 and the Clippers are a 1-point favorite Wednesday night at BetMGM.
It’s the fourth time this postseason that the Clippers are facing elimination, and they’ve been in every game this series. The Clippers’ three losses in the series came by a combined 11 points. Their two wins, on the other hand, have been by a combined 28 points.
Will the Clippers be able to force Game 7? Or will the Suns put the Clippers away for good?
Like many other bettors, Yahoo Sports’ Minty Bets has had a tough time getting a feel for the teams in this series. She’s siding with the home team in this one.
“The Clippers seem to be the team with the better flow, better defense and they adjusted quickly to every move the Suns made. Paul George is stepping up in big ways and carrying the Clippers,” she said.
