Former Alabama running back Najee Harris may be calling Pittsburgh his new home, but he’s originally from the Bay Area. So it makes sense that after throwing the first pitch at a Pittsburgh Pirates game just a few weeks ago, he was in San Francisco throwing out the first pitch at a Giants game.

Harris was selected No. 24 overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2021 NFL draft, making him the first running back drafted in all seven rounds.

Though his new team is across the country from his home, he’s found various ways to stay connected.

Last week, he announced he was partnering with California lawmakers to advocate for the homeless in his home state.
